Break the Mold: Connections Between 3D Printing and Vacuum Forming

Wednesday, October 25, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Develop your 3D digital design skills and create vacuum-formed molds (not sure what vacuum forming is? Check out this video!) In this hands-on design and fabrication workshop, create 3D models in TinkerCAD and remotely print them. Then, use the vacuum former to create plastic molds of different 3D-printed objects and practice casting them in various materials.

Prerequisites: You must complete the BeAM 101 training (both online quiz and in-person session) prior to this workshop. This workshop includes the 3D Printer training for BeAM and will certify you to use the 3D Printers. Please bring a laptop or other device that you can access your free TinkerCAD account on.

*This event is part of University Research Week
