Great Turnout at the 2022 APS Research Symposium

Shreeya Bhonge and Dr. Monika Kataria proudly display their awards from the 2022 APS Research Symposium.
The 2022 APS Research Symposium was a resounding success! Held in-person and virtually on September 23, the annual event is an opportunity for domestic and international students to learn more about the Materials Science PhD program.

All APS faculty members and more than 25 students and postdocs presented their research at this year’s symposium. Dr. Monika Kataria of the Yan research group was named the winner of the 1-minute flash talks competition for her presentation on Microbubbles & Photonics Applications. The winner of the poster competition was Shreeya Bhonge of the Freeman research group, who delivered a presentation on viral inspired self-assembling vehicles.

Thank you to APS’ student and administrative services specialist Melissa Gammon and GSA co-presidents Kameryn Hinton and Connor Slamowitz for their contributions to the success of the Symposium.
