Information Session: Applied Sciences and Engineering Minor

Friday, October 23, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm

New! Minor in Applied Sciences and Engineering – Join our information session to learn more!

Are you interested in using technology to make a difference in the world? From big problems like global warming to focused needs in your home or community, engineering is all about solving problems. The Applied Sciences and Engineering (APSE) minor is designed to train students to solve these problems with an engineering and entrepreneurial mindset. Using a foundation from your math and science courses, and you will learn how to simulate, design, and make things that address real-world challenges. You will learn how to choose and analyze the best material for an application, make holograms, study fluid flow for water purification and measure and analyze environmental and physical parameters. Check out our website for information about the Minor in Applied Sciences and Engineering and spring 2020 courses that will apply towards earning the minor.

Professor Rich Goldberg will hold a Zoom session for undergraduates interested in enrolling in our APSE minor this Friday, October 23, from 2-2:30 PM. Please email Rich Goldberg (r.goldberg@unc.edu) for the Zoom link.
